Kalki 2 filming delayed due to Deepika Padukone? Actress prioritising daughter Dua over work commitments -Report

Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD impressed the audience upon its release in June this year. While the film gained an overwhelming response from the audience and earned went on to earn over Rs 1000 crore at the worldwide box office, all eyes are now on when its sequel, Kalki 2, will hit screens.

Well here’s a not-so-pleasant update. During a recent private media meet, Deepika Padukone opened up about Kalki 2 and when she is likely to begin shooting it. Read on to know all she said.

Kalki 2 filming delayed due to Deepika Padukone?

As quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, during a recent private event in Mumbai – where Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh introduced the paparazzi to her daughter Dua, the actress was quizzed about Kalki 2. As per reports, a media personnel asked Deepika about Kalki 2. Answering the pap, the actress stated that her daughter was her top priority.

Deepika told the paps present, “I will raise my daughter myself, just the way my mom raised me.” The actress also mentioned that she is not in a rush to resume her work commitments and does not want to leave her little princess with a nanny for now.

Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their daughter Dua Padukone Singh on September 8, 2024. The couple shared the happy news with the world via a lovely post on social media. In November, theyrevealed that they have named her Dua, and explained its significance. The explained, “Dua Padukone Singh ‘Dua’ : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude.Deepika & Ranveer.”
